Shade Plants
It is inevitable on the North Shore that most of our gardens will have some shady areas. There are many beautiful shade loving plants that will thrive in these areas.
For example, hostas can be a wonderful choice. Visit North Vancouver’s Park and Tilford Gardens for some beautiful examples of these gorgeous plants. Choose slug-resistant varieties with thicker, sturdier leaves.
Beware of aggressive plants like English Ivy – these can become a serious problem once established in the garden and are hard to eradicate.
